Welcome to the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center (TLPDC) website. Our primary mission is to support the university’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. One way that we do this is with support for faculty members and instructors migrating their course materials to Blackboard 9.1. If you need assistance with Blackboard, we would love to help you! Are you teaching a large class this semester? Check out our new series: 50, 75, 100+: Teaching Large Classes Effectively! Perhaps you are interested in resources as a new faculty member or a graduate student? Try looking at our TLPDC Teaching Resources or look into the TEACH Program. These are just a few examples of the good work happening at the TLPDC but there’s much more from our support of faculty members teaching with Service Learning to our support of the Teaching Academy’s work. If you come by the center, you’ll quickly realize that it’s a busy place with an event occurring almost every day!
I invite you to look through our website to find out more about who we are and what we do, and join us at the TLPDC, on Facebook or Twitter, or via the TLPDC app as we continue conversations about teaching, learning, and educational technologies. The TLPDC is known for our warm hospitality and helpful spirit. Please feel free to contact any staff member of the TLPDC for help, or stop by to talk with us.
